Shampoo & Conditioning

You will be able to prepare for and complete a shampooing and conditioning service. 

Styling Women's Hair

You will be able to prepare and provide styling for womens hair such as: blow drying, curling, straightening, pin curls and velcro rollers. 

Colouring Hair using Temporary Colour

You will be able to prepare for and apply a temporary colour such as: colour mousse, chalks or sprays. 

Create a Hair and Beauty Image

You will be able to plan and create an image based on a theme and develop the hair for this. 

Level 1 Certificate in Hairdressing

If your students are seeking a flexible timetable or have an intrest in Hairdressing, we offer 2 days Alternative Provision within the sector.

For students that have a passion for both Hair and Beauty, our Level 1 Certificate Qualification would be the best fit. 

In our Level 1 Certificate in Hair and Beauty, the units covered are a mix of both the Hair and Beauty units combined.

Skincare

You will be able to prepare for and provide a skincare treatment. 

Basic Makeup
Application

You will be able to prepare for and carry out a basic day makeup treatment and evening makeup treatment. 

Nail Art

You will be able to prepare for and carry out different nail art techniques such as: dotting, striping, marbelling, foils, glitter and gems. 

Themed Face Painting

You will be able to prepare for and carry out a themed face painting.

Skilled Staff – Highly trained teachers and support staff use evidence-based strategies to promote engagement and progress.

Holistic Approach – Combining academic, vocational, and life skills education, ensuring students develop independence.

Therapeutic Support – Integrating therapy, pastoral care, and assistive technologies to remove barriers to learning.

Real-World Experiences – Providing a simulated salon environment and independent living skills training.

Assessment & Progress Tracking – Using EHCP outcomes, formative assessments, and feedback to measure student progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.

We are City and Guilds Accredited and our qualifications are Ofqual Regulated. 

Experienced Educators

All of our Teachers are Industry Professionals and have real world experience as Hairdressers or Beauty Therapists. 

Simulated Salon & materials

All of our courses require practical sessions, which are in simulated environments, such as a Beauty Salon or Hairdressers.

1. Vocational qualifications in Hair and Beauty, offering students a recognized qualification that will enable them to enter the workforce or progress to further training.
2. Functional skills in Maths and English, with a focus on practical, real-life applications that allow students to engage confidently with their community and workplace.

How will we measure the impact?

1. Progress tracking through regular formative assessments, feedback, and annual reviews, ensuring students’ learning is closely monitored and tailored. 

2. Employer feedback from work placements and industry partnerships to gauge the relevance and quality of the vocational skills students have gained. 

3. Post-qualification destinations such as employment, apprenticeships, or further study in the Hair and Beauty sector, as well as success in achieving functional skills qualifications. 

4. Well-being outcomes, measured through the improvements in social and emotional behavior, self-reports, and feedback from students, parents, and staff. 

Our curriculum is structred to meet the needs of every student, ensuring that they leave with the skills, qualifications and personal confidence to thrive in their future lives, whether they pursue further study, employment, or independent living.
